watching TV

Don't seem to notice what's on
Only what lies within my mind

My thoughts, my memories, my dreams
The wishes that one can only hope to be

Staring into the television I cry
Not knowing what's on, but what's on my mind

These wonderfull memories
These wonderfull dreams
Give me thoughts that make me want to scream

I have no back up plans
What is left but to sit here after all I have done in this house?
Nothing
That's why I sit here, and watch TV

I can't be there, it's forbidden for me
I can't go anywhere, can't you see?

There are only so many times I have felt save
But when you're alone you feel just about the same

Without someone there by ones side, only one can wait for a chance at life.

Feeling something is missing I begin to see
I have a boyfriend, yes, and he is good to me
I love him dearly, it's easy to see
But there's still something missing that I just can't see, but i feel it within

Love is not everything in life
I want to experience happiness and joy
and get more out of life
away from this house

America- the land of make believe
the land in which we are all free to be
is that really how it is?
Then why do I feel so held back, so denied?
WITHOUT FREEDOM?

All I can do now is sit here
Mind my own business
Wish my life away
Thinking and hoping that this will change
