I use the cell shading(marking the shaded region with a line and then fill it up softly,use more strokes in the dark part with an 8b pencil like the iris and metals stuff) technique in my sketches as I do with the colored ones, it gives a crispy effect and looks more like anime!! XD

I just never understand the light and shadow stuff OTL That's why I preffer soft shading style........just slap the colours randomly, lol
But really dada, you're too good! If somebody does'nt hire you soon then the animation world might as well die D< They're missing out something huge!

yes, light and shadows are complicated things, it needs a lot of research, u can always draw top and front view of your pics (maybe stick figures)and then adjust the direct & ambient lights,& then draw the final picture,this helps a lot!!(I'm trying for a job in a comic book company ,I think india is not ready yet to start anime style production yet!!)

You can say that again but thanks for the tip ^_^ I tend to use the soft style shading because I have vague idea where the shadow is supposed to be so I just "slap 'em on"

Ramayana is the anime which actually inspired me to become an animator XD! There is also a japanese version called Rama ouji Densetsu, I would love to see THAT ONE Heehee !! Thanks for your prayer we have been chosen! though there are a few things coming in our way,like work in bangalore, we never been that far from home before,,,,....
