Description
My artwork for Clauncher, the Water-Type pistol shrimp PokΓ©mon from X and Y. Looking at some of the details of the 3D model in the trailers it was hard to tell if its underbelly was segmented or soft (without segments), and from what I saw it has no lines on its underbelly so that's the way I portrayed it here. If we see something different in the future I'll change it.Enjoy.

What brush do you use to get that cloudy sheen?

The only brush I use for this kind of art is the regular circle brush. For those parts, it's set to 68 Hardness and around 40 Opacity.

Based on Clauncher's coloration, it really looks like it'll evolve into a water/electric type. I'm fine with that, but I really hope it evolves into a water/fire type.

If there's any animal that could be a dual water/fire type, it would be the cavitation shrimps. Hell, clauncher should evolve into a peacock mantis shrimp pokemon! That'd be freakin' awesome! Besides, if a pistol shrimp and a mantis shrimp were to fight it out, the mantis shrimp would easily win due to having superior eyesight. Also this: [link]

The atmosphere around Gen VI is completely different from Gen V in that everyone loves the new games and Pokemon in the prerelease period.
