I'm not really fond of this evolution of Evee personally, but i love the color scheme it's similar to Milotic's colors an I'm sure it will be Normal or a new type.

I think Sylveon is going to be flying. I'm more interested in seeing a bug or steel Eevee evolution. I guess dragon would be cool to see too though.

A Sylph is a mythological creature in the Western tradion en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylph Sylphs are invisible beings of the air. In italian it could be' translated in "silfide" or "silVano".

You are partially right.
Nymphs are spirits of trees. But not only.
Nymphs can be classified in: Celestial nymphs, Land nymphs, Wood and plant nymphs, Water nymphs, Underworld nymphs and other nymphs.

Hmm...I just find that so wrong. I mean, this pokemon is cute...but if this pokemon is the official flying type for the eevee line, I'm going to be incredibly disappointed. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

I agree with you. A flying-type eeveelution should have been made better. But, working on the name, it's almost certain that Sylveon is a flying-type pokΓ©mon.
Otherwise it could be a new type, like light-type.
I would TOTALLY hate a new type like "digital".

I primarily agree with light type. Digital? Meh, it depends on how Gamefreak designs the pokemon and how it is utilized.

I hate to rain on both of your parades, but think about this for a second. They wouldent hide the typeing of it if it wasn't a new type. Gamefreak has done this before, and it was with the steel and the dark type monsters. So why would they hide this ones type if it wasn't a new one? Just a thought.

You're not really raining on my parade. I think everyone has that general assumption, but why not speculate? I don't want it to be a speculated flying type.

Its mearly a thought. My mind keeps changing as different theory arise. I think (this is pretty much only me, but would explain the japanese name of Ninfia quite well) that it will be a new type. And whats my type suggestion than probably no one has though of? Fairy. Fairy type is my assumption. Think about all the fairy-like Pokemon.....they are almost all pink. And what is Sylveon? Pink. Its just a thought. I'm nearly 100% sure that it will be a new type though.
....also, why is everyone speculation flying type? It makes no sense. There is now good eveidence to suggest this theory being a legitimate answer.

I think it's just because a flying type eeveelution has been anticipated for so long, and people don't want to be disappointed. The same goes for a ghost type.

They always hide typings for pokemon that aren't starters. Like the new legendary pokemon.

Indeed. As the time goes on, my speculation for Sylveon keeps changing. I still am 99% confident in saying that Sylveon is going to be a new type. What if they made a fairy type? It certainly possible, and there's a lot of fairy like pokemon...all of which are pink.....and sylveon is pink....im going with this theory.

so they are going to take old pokemon and completely change their typing? i dunno man that sounds far too risky. But, maybe there is a new typing and maybe not. we will have to wait and see. We got quite the wait until this new game comes out

Yes...that is true. But a re-typing would probably be for the better, probably give normal types some....i don't know.....strength? We havent had a new type in 14 years, so we defiantly need one.
