Description
Note: The description contains minor spoilers for the plot of Y version.
My artwork for Yveltal, the Dark/Flying-Type Legendary Destruction Pokémon that is the mascot of Pokémon Y, and its cocoon form seen during the story of Y. The coloration and pose was inspired by its awakening cutscene, where it menacingly stands before the player and begins charging or absorbing energy. I really liked the way they made the red parts of its body look during the cutscene and wanted to try drawing it for myself.

Edit: Added a shiny version. The colors might look slightly off due to the way it was colored/shaded.

If this Pokemon dies, It sucks the entire life energy of every living organism on the planet, and turns into a cocoon once again.
So that would mean if the Pokemon god of Destruction had it's life come to an end, all of everything and everyone you knew will be gone forever, but don't worry, Xerneas may patch things back together since it is the life Pokemon.

Just to prevent people from saying Shiny Yveltal looks like bacon, he reminds me far more of the Titans. That makes shiny Yveltal a superior shiny.
Now would you go ahead and say that Titans look like bacon? If anything, the Titans probably think you look like a gum drop!

No, you can't. That isn't an Egg; it's a cocoon form that Yveltal enters when its life is near ending, after living for one thousand years.

I wonder if Nintendo and/or Game Freak were watching "Fantasia 2000" while creating the three new legendaries.
Because the resemble the three characters from the "Fire Bird" segment (in a good way ).
Xernas= Representing Life = The Stage/Deer
Yveltal = Representing Death = The Firebird
Zygrande = Representing Order/Renew = The Forest/Spring Sprite
And also Peter Pan (obviously that's why Fairy-types are weaken by Poison-types).

Just a small thought. Xerneas goes into Active form when it goes into battle instantly...
But Yveltal only goes into his Active form when he does some special attack.
To me, this says that Yveltal must be the strongest.
