Nice! That's my favorite picture of Kakashi. You did such a great job that I can tell no difference at all from the original.

this is soo amazing!!! umm, i'm attending an art competition in Savannah soon and I was wondering, can I use the idea of the pulling the pages thing in my competition picture?? It's very 3 dimensional and I think it would make a great contest pic

WOW, HOW AWESOME THIS PIC!!! COULD IT BE BECAUSE IT WASNT YOU WHO DREW IT??? COULD IT BE BECAUSE ITΒ΄S KISHIMOTOΒ΄S PIC????
ComeΒ΄on, yu gonna say itΒ΄s just coincidence to draw a picture exactly kishimoto draw before for his manga? It suprises me the courage yu have to post a pic of such famous artist!
Grow up, only people who doesnt know kishimotoΒ΄s work would believe that you did it yourself. If it was only the pose to be the same thing among the pics, but even the shadows are similar, something impossible, just to think of it.

hahaha that is just hilarious. why the hell would lauren scan in a famous mangaka's work and try to pass it off on her own? maybe she's just REALLY GOOD at copyart! is that as "impossible" as COPYING SHADOWS?

wow, i'm flattered! my first accusation of art thievery! lovely, i should mark this date on my calendar.
let me show you something: [link]
that's kishimoto's original picture that i did copyart for. now scroll up to my picture and compare the two. there are many, many differences.
first off, my kakashi, overall, is wider than his. his face is wider. the hitai-ate is wider. the collar and shoulder pads on his vest are wider. his torso is wider. the pouches on his vest are wider (and a lot more of those are showing in my picture than in kishimoto's. his also have a greater angle to them).
kishimoto's is also longer than mine, which you can see in the face and especially the hair. i had to flatten the hair because i ran out of space on the paper, which you can also tell because i have a very small amount of black at the top of the picture compared to kishimoto's. i had to alter the way the pages were folded, the placement of the hair, and the placement of the kunai so i could fit my page.
next, the shadows. for the most part, the shadows are in the correct area when compared to kishimoto's. but when you look at the strokes in the crosshatching, they are obviously completely different. i did this almost two years ago and frankly, i sucked at crosshatching back then. you can tell by the not-very-parallel strokes and the haphazardness of a lot of the lines, when i failed to match up with his. my crosshatching is especially bad under the folds of the pages and on his right shoulder pad. my pen is also a lot fatter than the one he used for his fine crosshatching.
now look at the kunai. compare them. it's self-explanatory....all the angles are off, the sizes are off, and mine look thick and bulky compared to his.
next, the henohenomoheji face in the back. also self-explanatory. also completely different.
and looking at the two, i can point out differences until i'm blue in the face. his fingers are more shaded and show less palm than mine. the swirl on kakashi's right shoulder puffs out a lot more on mine. the angle of the right arm is different. the ear on mine is more defined. the shape of the face mask is different, etc. overall the pictures are very similar, but far from identical.
i did a lot of copyart when i was younger because i didn't have my own style and i wanted to improve the relationship between what i see and what i draw. i do it a lot less now, since my own style has somewhat solidified and aforementioned hand-eye relationship has improved a lot. but when i post my copyart pictures on deviantart or anywhere, i always clearly state that it is in fact copyart and where i got the original picture from, along with copyrights. even when i use references and i don't copy it, i state that. and i do that all to avoid situations like this one. if you still can't see the differences and think this is stolen, feel free to contact the DA authorities and let them compare the pictures.
i think i've proved that i did not steal kishimoto's picture and pass it off as my own. in fact, as kishimoto masashi (and a number of other mangaka, like kubo tite, obata takeshi) is one of my inspirations and idols, i'm insulted that someone thinks i had the balls to steal his work. i am leagues and leagues below kishimoto's level and i despise art thieves.
i don't mind people who are on the lookout for art thievery, as they help improve the quality of the DA community and expose the thieves that are here. but i do hope that you yourself grow up, and in the future you actually take the time to verify that the art is in fact stolen instead of making rash accusations.

Pretty, so pretty. I'm so so jealous. Mwaaah. I love your art so much X3 but am so sad you draw FMA. *would be killed by ~Twilight-Rose for saying such things.* This though, copy of an existing pic as it is, is still so pretty. I'm like madly in love with Kakashi which makes it even better.
Uh... yeah... done being a freak. Oooooh wait *hands off Yondaime and Kakashi to you.* There's your happy meal toys! XD
