While Cleaning the mansion while Rin is gone after Kirie legally gave him the name Thosaka so Rin would have a companion in her younger years, Shirou Stumbled on her chest shaking. when he opens it a Talking Wand named Ruby game out, shocking Shirou who never knew about Ruby. Introducing him self as Shirou Thosaka, Ruby forced her way onto him considering hes more feminine then masculine he was accepted as a magical girl. Coming home to a Sparklingly clean home Rin gets a bad feeling and is meet with something worse then she expected. the Stary eyed magical girl/boy introducing themselfs as Pure Ruby, in their red and pink leotard, the cape ending just above their butt.

Meanwhile in Shirous mind standing in a white void yet to be filled, Ruby converses with him trying to persuade him to her line of thinking. due to the many years around Rin he caught her Tsundereness and sass using it to get ruby to let her go. Ruby peers into his insecurities about making Rin and the Thosaka name look bad by being a bellow average magus and offers him a deal. exchanged for the magic boost given by welding the Kelido Stick he has to be Ruby partner until he feels worthy on his own. considering how much more help Shirou could be he considers the offer.
