Gonna be auditioning this character to At least if I can finish the comic, that is. I should post the first few pages soon or something instead of all in one go maybe.

Edit: Made some changes, mostly a little bit of decluttering and clarification as well as adding something I realized was probably pretty important to include.

All of the information is in the image, honestly, you really don't have to read the rest of what's there unless for clarification purposes. Please feel absolutely free to ask anything if things are unclear or if you just have any sort of question, it can only help me! c:

  Personality
Curious, Awkward, Disconnected

The scarecrow likes to observe and handle things, playing around with objects and figuring them out. It has done this with so many feathers, and has learned about the birds that lived around the area that it occupied. If it finds an object it doesn’t recognize, it likes to take a look and find out what it is and what it can do, carefully turning it about in its hands and figuring it out. It can be easily distracted and sucked into exploring new objects and areas, especially since it has never really had that before, having occupied the farm for as long as it can remember.

It has had limited contact with people and doesn't understand things like personal space, or that staring is rude. Hell, staring is one of the things that it is rather used to, the old farmer used to stare at it all the time. With torches too, never approached the scarecrow without one. This is also why fire doesn't send it into a panic nor cause it to run away, simply makes it uneasy. It may grab and touch at someone with absolutely no regard to their personal space

The world just happens around it, and it accepts it. Feelings are hard, and so is empathy. Does it even care about others? It's really difficult to, everything just feels kind of like a dream that might be happening to someone else. Almost like watching it all happen but not quite participating.

Appearance
Height:5'2" (157cm) w/o hat
Weight: 40lbs (18kg)

The scarecrow has a green saggy hat as well as green gardening gloves. It has a shirt that is a button-up and is maroon in color. Brown overalls make up the legs and go up to just under the chest. Its front is covered by a light yellow apron with the words "CORN SWEET CORN" embroidered on the front, a large bow tied at the butt to help keep it in place. It wears black boots with light spats for a fancy touch where it doesn't belong. The head is an old plague mask with the goggles missing, leaving only holes where the eyes would look through. There is black fabric past the holes, and occasionally feathers will slip out. The wrists, ankles, and hat are bound together with sewing, leaving little to no opening between them. It stands at almost 6', but only thanks to the hat. Not including it, it stands at more like 5'2".

The places where it can be accessed inside are at the eyeholes, neck, and the rim of pants, but please do not put your hand in and start touching its stuffing, that is rude . Foliage has taken root here and there along its body, the flower on the hat is alive. It is stuffed with mostly torn up dresses, feathers, and some dirt. This all surrounds a mostly complete and relatively damaged human skeleton.

Miscellaneous
- It has no voice and cannot speak, instead it uses gestures and body language to communicate. Maybe it can gain a voice?
- It can read, but it is a slow reader. Children’s picture books would really entertain it.
- Sometimes it stops moving, it just finds a place and becomes inanimate. Is it sleeping? If so then it's a rather deep sleep since it can be handled and moved around at that point and won't notice.

Likes
Feathers - The scarecrow spends almost every night meandering around the field, collecting what feathers it can find. As a result, it is honestly rather fond of them, liking to collect different kinds, though the majority of them are crow’s feathers.
Cats - There is a cat that roams around the fields all the time, and it would visit often and pee on the scarecrow’s pole. It likes that cool cat.
Flowers - Flowers like to grow on its body once in a while, and it thinks they’re really pretty. The flower on its hat is just a Daisy.

Dislikes
Fire - Holy crap fire can cause a lot of damage, please keep it away. It doesn’t exactly incite sheer terror, it has been near fire often after all, but fire nearby makes it nervous, especially if the fire is not contained on a torch or in a fireplace.
Being wet - It doesn’t hate water, but it doesn’t like being soaked from dew in the tall grass or rain. It makes it feel heavy and uncomfortable.
The woods - Propped up in the middle of a field, the scarecrow was always surrounded by the woods. It could have gone inside and searched for more feathers, even explore a bit more, but it just could never bring itself to enter. The woods are frightening.
Dogs - Fears them more than dislikes them. Doesn't know why.

Strengths/Abilities
Painless - It feels no pain, which means it can keep going despite the damage done to it. It is not hindered from pain, a bullet does nothing and a severed limb can be repaired. It can't die in the same way organic creatures can, it can lose limbs and it won't 'bleed' to death other than feathers getting everywhere. If it loses all its feathers, it wont' die, it'd just be deflated both physically and emotionally. It worked hard to collect those feathers.
Tireless - It does not get exhausted. Mentally, maybe, but not physically. It can keep running and running until it doesn't want or need to run anymore. There is no breathing necessary, or consumption of food required, it can just keep on going.
Flexibility - How can you bend a cloth doll? That's pretty much how it can bend, except the skeleton inside of it gives it a bit of an armature that needs to be worked with. It's okay, though, the knees and elbows can bend backwards at this point, and the points where the limbs and neck attach have some unsettlingly wide range. Imagine like a puppet! And like a puppet, it can fold up into small, tight spaces.
Cryokinesis - Very limited. Through direct and continued contact it can suck the warmth from another body, leaving the target cold and slow, especially where contacted. This is not cold enough to cause frost, and has the added effect of draining someone emotionally. It is only deadly if left exposed for a long time, and to break away all you have to do is not touch it. Important: This ability is ineffective against flames, it cannot use this to put a flame out.

  Weaknesses
Flammable - This is probably rather obvious, as a scarecrow made out of fabric and other such materials, it can lose a battle with fire pretty quickly if it is unable to put it out.
Painless - It feels no pain, which means it can keep going without realizing how much damage its racking up. It could fall apart and be shocked by this, unable to understand where exactly it has been hurt without actually searching for the damage. Damage that would be devastating for a human causes fear for it, even though it is a lot more harmless. While a lost limb can be easily repaired, it is terrifying.
Clumsy - It can stumble and fall easily, and has a bit of a difficult time attempting to be agile. It doesn't flop around or anything, as though it is new to movement or on puppet strings, not at! It just can have a difficult time judging the space it is taking up, let alone exactly the positions it is in, making it not very graceful. Luckily, while it is quick to fall, it is also quick to get back up again.
Gullible - While it may have its second thoughts and concerns, it can be rather easily mislead and trusting. It just has no reason not to trust others, its social interactions have been very limited.
Blades - Or anything sharp enough to make a cut, really. It is made out of fabric, after all, and can't just heal from a cut. Once it is cut, gotta sew it up if there's even any needle and thread to be found anywhere.

  How it can die (including but not limited to)
- Burn it up. Make sure the various pieces of cloth stuffed inside of it burns too. It WILL try to find a way to stop burning, so try to not let it do that.
- Tear it to many many small pieces. Removing all of the limbs and decapitation won’t work, it’s still alive. You gotta really tear it right up.
- Remove all of the bones. Shatter them while you’re at it.
- Immobilize it. It’s actually not a death, but it may as well be. Maybe one day it will rot away enough to finally die all the way.
