Cheol-Soo, though hard to drag out of his dorm room sometimes, truly appreciates his friends and holds them dear. This is why he will always be genuine and truthful because he wants to be trusted and liked for who he really is. Even if he wants to hide something from someone, it won't take long to pull the truth out. His actions are never fake, partially because he worries about how other people really think of him sometimes. He'll always try to be polite to others, whether they're friends, acquaintances, or strangers. He's also a great person to go to if you have organization struggles. Basically just take a small look at his living space and take notes. He's never disorganized. If he is, there's a problem. He's always willing to help a friend with organizing those class notes that have long since been in any recognizable order.

Never expect Cheol-Soo to make any important decisions when hanging out with him - or any decisions, for that matter. For one, he's pretty laid back so he rarely has any strong opinions. He also is more focused on choosing something the other people around him will prefer rather than himself. Making decisions has caused excessive stress on multiple occasions. It's his lack of decisiveness that makes his aimlessness in life even worse. This is one of the few things that really makes him moody or depressed because everyone seems to know where they're going (in his eyes). Cheol-soo will rarely initiate an active hangout, though he'll do it if his friends really want to. Just know if you can't find or contact him, he's probably asleep somewhere. Or super focused on playing a game on his laptop. As genuine as he is, he will skirt from conflict whenever possible. There's a quarrel at a party? See ya. He receives an uncomfortable text? Don't expect him to respond for days. He doesn't know how to face confrontation in any form and it freaks him out.

Biography
Cheol-soo grew up in a fairly boring household. His father was always at meetings and his mother was either busy at her bakery shop or hanging out with friends. He had one older sister, Hye-Rin, who was 8 years older than him. Even though they had a good number of years between them, they had an amicable relationship. They grew closer once she left for college, since she finally grew out of her teenage phase. She visited home mostly to keep Cheol-Soo company. He had lots of friends but he often avoided hanging out during the summer because all he wanted to do was hibernate in the cool indoors. At some point Hye-Rin quite literally dragged him out to a pool so he'd go outside for once. It was the fact that the water temperature was more appealing than frying in the sun that Cheol-Soo realized he enjoyed swimming. A lot. So much that he immediately asked his parents to let him join swimming team. Since it was rare that he would voluntarily do anything active, it didn't take much convincing for his parents to sign him up. Better the pool than under his bed covers or on the computer.

For once, Cheol-Soo found a passion to focus on. His health improved since all the food he already ate was now balanced with activity, and his grades shot up so he had no fear of getting cut because of academic reasons. As much as he loved swimming, he always worried about what he'd do next. Cheol-Soo never believed that he could make a living out of a sport, since all of his family had practical jobs. Even his sister did something with business - don't ask him what, all business stuff was the same boring kind of work. Since he had no idea what else he wanted to do for a career, he continued to focus on swimming so he could get into college for something he knew he was at least good at. Surprisingly, his parents supported him applying for Hanwool College so he didn't question his current path and just went for it. It would save him a few years of deciding on some other career, and he'd do something fun in the meantime.
