Description Version 1.

I thought this might help some people out.
Sorry for the really bad interface, and some of the photos are a bit weird. But I thought this would do until I could be bothered making a better version.
Please, let me know what you think.

I have bred six shinies to date using this method.

im sure this will be very helpful to people :3 its explained real well and simply.

personally i fill my boxes with about 300 eggs then to to the city to hatch them all. then release all the non shinys as i get them. i find that easier then releasing 300 odd pokemon afterwards haha. but to each his own. keeping all the non shinys is good if you wanna fill your pokebank though. the more pokemon you have in that the more BP/Miles you get. though i reckon that depends more on many types than many pokemon lol

I do mine in batches of 90, and have room for 4 batches. My issue was that I got bored of the same thing over and over again, so I have switched to doing five at a time. When I get bored again, I will probably collect 90 eggs and hatch them all at once again.

I hate releasing the pokemon, and find it easier just to do them at the same time. I have to keep tabs on how many pokemon I have hatched, because I'm participating in a study, so keeping them until I have reported also helps [I have a goldfish memory].

I would keep mine, but I just have too many things to breed, and not enough box space D:

see i find it super boring to sit there and release boxes of pokemon in one go haha and with the fact i always breed either 300 or 150 pokemon in one go i know how many it takes to find the shiny
though granted, numbers dont interest me haha. as long as i have the shiny in the end i dont really care XD

i usually breed or hatch when im watching movies so its a bit less boring for me :3

Yeah I try do that too.

It takes me about 5 minutes of solid releasing to release all 360 babies.

so, any two different region (aka one from your region and one from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Korea, or Japan) Pokemon that are in the egg group (or if you have a ditto) and it will work? (but the outcome varies)

xSammyKayx In reply to AgentMaryland93 [2014-04-29 02:49:42 +0000 UTC]

Yes. So you need two different regions, of two pokemon in the same egg group [or use a ditto].

The drawback to using different species [eg a female eevee and a male furfrou, resulting in breeding eevees] is that you collect eggs slower than if you were to use two eevees or two furfrous.

The reason you would use egg groups is if you only had that foreign pokemon, and not the one you wanted, if you wanted to pass down IV's or nature, or if you wanted to breed egg moves.

I hope this makes sense.
