Eh, the older version was better. Those mats are not as great, make better mats and you will be accurate.

Ok look, like I said before, the problem isn't the mesh. You could've used any of the last 10 puppets you've made. Honestly, there is pretty much nothing wrong with the mesh at this point
It's the textures and lighting. The lighting is pretty good in this, but the main issue is the mirror. It's not bad but it just doesn't replicate Scotts. C4D isn't necessarily the best when it comes to replicating Scott's textures (though I've seen quite a few people who use C4D that have managed to pull of making something VERY accurate when it comes to renders), which is one of the reasons why it doesn't look as accurate as it could.
Just work on the mirror and specular. Heck, maybe moving it to Blender or even Max is a good idea. Just don't make anymore new meshes. It's pointless
