i adore how realistic her swimsuit looks, specially the wrinkle on the bikiny bottom where she has her hand! the shoes are so beautiful and shiny, and her belly looks fab!!! . i don't have any CC, she is just a gorgeous piece of pixel art!!! *__*

I love how you can even make bathing suits look glamorous. All your inspiration seems to come from Old Hollywood glam, though I could be completely wrong. She kind of looks like Christina Aguilera. Beautiful work!

thanks! I'm definitely in love with old hollywood glam and pinup. I like modern fashion almost equally but back in the 50s everyone dressed so nice all the time- it was always so classy. I try to incorporate that into a lot of my dolls^^ and I guess I've just been doing that more than usual lately. Also, I WAS thinking of Christina Aguilera while doing this because shes one of the only blondes I could think of and I was looking at pictures right before I did as a reference for the blonde color

I know what you mean, back then everything was more special. Dinner was a family affair, and you had to get dressed up for it even though you were just at home. There was going out clothes, dinner clothes, party clothes, etc. There was table manners, and etiquette. The fifties were pretty awesome.
I can see the way you incorporate it, your dolls are extremely classy. Even the zombie doll was classy, lol. The clothing your dolls wear, the way they pose, and their makeup, I can definitely tell where the inspiration comes from. You're very good at portraying it.
And yeah, she definitely looks like Christina Aguilera! I'm glad I caught that reference when you didn't even mention it. She definitely does her makeup and sometimes dresses like an old fashioned glamour queen. As does Gwen Stefani.

I was pretty surprised that you picked up on the reference despite me not even making a conscious effort to make it look like her, too,lol.
I dont usually like blonde hair but for some reason I've always liked christina and gwen stefani's even when they didnt have a retro look,lol

Maybe because they've never really changed? It's always been mostly blonde, except like once or twice? And it's platinum blonde! :]
Don't worry about it, typing on Ipods is a pain in the rear.

This is very nice! I could not believe it was all pixelled at the first glance. The shading is so smooth and beautiful. The only thing I think you should fix a bit is her hand, as now it looks a bit like her thumb starts right from the index finger. Maybe you should make it thicker, as well thicken the connection to the hand a bit more too and it should look alright. Maybe also shorten the index finger a tad more.
Otherwise, it looks perfect.

thanks! I always feel like I did a good job whenever someone says it doesnt look like PA at a glanceXD. I definitely see what you mean about the pointer finger and I've just fixed it but still have to reupload(such an obvious mistake-idk how I managed that one!) but im not entirely sure if I see the problem with the thumb- It had some problems originally but I thought I fixed them..I will take another look at that though! Thanks for the C&C ^^

thanks! It was pretty fun although I did struggle with the blonde hair a bit since I've only done it once before- I pretty much had to come up with a new technique to make it look good. Haha I never really realized how different it is from shading black
