Featured in my latest comic, here is lab rat, or as people who are not a traumatized Eevee with a hatred for all things SCIENCE, Poplar. Nobody's ever done anything with the assistants in pokemon and I find that sad. Also i love Johto, but Elm's like, busy so I decided to make a hapless intern instead. Just kidding, I'm sure he actually gets paid. This guy is the one who lent Phantas to Kassie, but in reality, he's kiiiiiiinda the OG trainer. So, like, his name would be on Phan's ID, much to his chagrin. He's happy Phan's settling down at least, though he still gives all those poke-babies a squint of worry, for good reason.

Overall he's a pretty chill, grounded dude, who has a strange habit of being in the weird places at the opportune time. He was working on his thesis on pokemon types in relation to habitat but something's come up that's distracting him at the moment...
