do not proceed reading unless you want to hear my rantingevery time my cousins from new mexico visits us californians during the summer, their mother always end up making at least half of us cry. shes always praising her kids in front of my grandmother and she talks trash about all of us when we're sitting right in front of her. basically, we're all trash while her kids are gods. don't get me wrong, i love her kids. in fact, one of them is one of my top three most favorite cousins; that cousin, i feel like she gets the worst of her mother's insanity. she's the eldest child yet she's the "normal" one. her younger brother is a math genius (no kidding) and her younger sister is also exceptionally smart (this is where my aunt's cockiness comes from). currently, she is only 13 but i can see her starting to mentally break down, and i don't blame her. the instant my aunt started talking trash about us, i walked into the living room, sat myself down, and started drawing this picture. i love it when my cousins come over to visit, but my aunt just hurts my feelings over and over again every time she talks about how stupid i am just because i'm a normal kid taking normal classes living a normal life... so what if i'm not the smartest one in my class? can't she search for my better qualities instead?

she's wrong, you are a fantastic person, an amazing artist, and an even better friend. i feel your pain, my mother would always praise my sister for everything, and scold me no matter what. she would scold me for not working around the house, even as i spend two hours in the heat cutting the lawn whilst my sister lays down in a cool room watching movies. i help more in the house in one day then she does in a year. she wasn't scolded when she got pregnant, or when her scumbag boyfriend impounded her car. but i was, when i forgot to put peanuts out for the birds.
i understand what you are feeling, and if you need to talk about it, i'm always open^^

its ok, my upbringing may have been what people consider harsh, but i'm ok with that. it made me the person i am, and i find no greater joy in life than being there for others when they are hurt, the feeling i get brings tears to my eyes.

oh my goodness... ive never told anyone this before, but i have two folders... "messages that made my day" and "people who made my day"
i usually put kind or encouraging messages into the the first folder and i put all of the favs and watches i get into the other folder

so glad i could help^^ again, it's true. there are many people i know that i would do anything for, even if they do not know it. you could also say that i've been going through some rather personal, but touching moments in my life right now, and i'm filled with happiness to the point were i am almost crying right now ^^
