Yeah this is Frostbite and Lightsoul :3 totally ship it.
KaiserScotty and I have an idea that Frostbite saved Lightsoul from a band of SkyWing bandits but her father, Wisdomseeker, died in the process. Lightsoul, not knowing what to do, stuck with her rescuer. Frostbite, even though he saved her, didn't want Lightsoul around at first; yet she followed him and stuck around him even after him pushing her away. In the end he fell hard for her and she too.
I imagine Frostbite as this older outcast that usually didn't talk to other dragons but couldn't let the helpless be beaten up. He loved that she was a NightWing with white scales that had been kicked out of her own tribe for being different. Just like his dark scales and his exile for being different.
Lightsoul at first didn't know what to do without her father so she followed the only dragon that was somewhat kind to her. At first she saw a protector, in the end she saw her partner.

Frostbite reminds me of Noctis from Final Fantasy....
and maybe Lightsoul is Luna? I don't know lol
