The Trirant are an artificially created species almost entirely composed of nano cells. Their purpose is to act as a living space ship, one that reproduces and is calculated as an exponential population rather then a manufactured resource for the DSF

Once this creature has reached its third stage of life it will be capable of FTL travel. This is because it spends its first and second life stages constantly collecting energy or negative mass exotic matter. It is only when enough of both resources have been collected can the trirant finish charging its warp rings and achieve FTL flight.

These beings primarily live in the galactic void, either sweeping through empty space between galaxies in search of exotic matter during their first stage of life, or bathing in the stars of a stray solar system and eating its satellites during their second.

It’s spine would actually be a massive superconducting coil that when powered, Generates a magnetic field capable of melting entire ships. This magnetic capability is used to attach itself to objects it wishes to move, as well as allowing it to shove around stations or ships. They could even pull ships towards themselves before whipping their solid metal skull into them like a sledgehammer

The Trirant can Metabolize any source of energy. This is due to them having many different kinds of microbots in their blood, with each type generating fuel through a different process.

Due to both the nano cells ability to metabolize multiple kinds of ambient energy, as well as utilize energy generation from the blood, breathing is entirely unnecessary

When away from a solar system it’s bodily functions would be powered by a special organ just behind its heart. This organ is capable of converting hydrogen into raw energy through the use of internalized nuclear fusion.

Due to its design as a spaceship, a Trirant possesses a series of interconnected hollow areas inside of its body to form rooms and hallways. The walls and floor are composed of solid titanium with layers of graphene over the surface. the ceiling is composed of graphene coated diamond, which allows the bioluminescent panels behind them to light up each room.
There are 3 major types of room alongside many empty multipurpose ones. There is the bridge, which has multiple bioluminescent walls projecting the image of whatever the Trirant sees. There is mind interface room, which allows people to mentally control specific bodily functions of the Trirant with its permission, such as weaponry and maneuvering.
Another area is the printer room, this room has a touch sensitive panel which controls a set of manufacturing organs that function almost exactly like a nanoforge does to print out things on the atomic scale.
The Trirants nanoforge organ has certain limitations that a fully mechanical one does not, it takes much longer to print things and you can only print with elements that are of surplus in the trirants body
The trirants internal living areas are each equipped with audio, visual, and speaking capabilities, allowing the trirant to monitor and communicate with its inhabitants.
