Okay, so this definitely requires a bit of an explanation.

I came up with the idea of what if Sif and Sigyn had been friends as children but bitter toward one another during adulthood and so I started doodling whenever a new illustration popped into my head. I'll go through and explain each sketch so you sort of get an idea of what was going on in my crazy brain when I drew these.

The uncolored pic in the uppermost left was an idea that popped into my head to demonstrate that their bitterness towards each other finds form in spiteful words.

The little Sif in the upper middle was a precursor to another sketch that has yet to be uploaded. It has to do with when Loki cut Sif's hair and it turned black.

The pic in the upper right is in black and white because it was meant to be sort of a memory from the past. "Du är min väninna. Alltid." is Swedish for "You are my friend. Always."

Just below the black and white pic is a simple little doodle of Sif and Sigyn running around as kids. I thought it would be something cute to draw.

The messy sketch in the bottom right was an idea to show the contrast in their personalities. Sif is proud and bold, while Sigyn is humble and shy.

The pic of Sif in the middle was just me trying to draw Sif being her warrior self.

The pic in the lower left was my first completely digital pic ever and I was trying to flesh out the image of Sigyn I had in mind. I always imagined her to have quite the abundance of blond hair.

The pic of Sigyn in the middle was another idea for her wardrobe as well as a desire to draw her as a sort of regal, underestimated sorceress type of woman. I based the outfit loosely on the one she's shown in from the comics.

The pic of Sif with her hair down on the far left was one of those things where you want to put down an explanatory idea before you forget it. I'm toying with thought of making a short comic explaining how and why Sif and Sigyn's friendship would have turned sour.

Anyway, I hope you like this. If enough people are interested, I'll post more Sif and Sigyn stuff.
