Description First Person Shooters are not a genre I'm too invested, without counting Metroid Prime trilogy not Deus Ex, my experience is limited to Wolfenstein 3D, Golder Eye 007 (N64 & Wii), the first three levels of Quake, and the FPS sections of Banjo-Tooie. The only reason why I bought this game is because the Angry Video Game Nerd when reviewed it, it said it was a pretty good copy of Doom, but of course, I had to look for reviews for the remake that exist in the Switch eShop to see if is still as good as the original, and the reviews said it was as good as the original.

Chex Quest is a game that was launched originally in 1996 for free in the boxes of Chex cereal (I think I have never eat it, in fact, I haven't seen it here for sale, maybe I need to go to a cereal bar to eat it). As far as I know, after Doom was launched to the marked, John Carmac, one of the developers of Doom, released the engine of the game for anyone to use, and I suppose General Mills used it to make a friendly version of Doom to improve sales of Chex cereal, and creating a game of cult that still remains popular today.

The game is about how a planet is invaded by some green slimy creatures named Flemoids, capturing workers, so to save them, the Chex Mix crew goes to that planed to zap the flemoids back to their world and save the workers.

I agree that is a pretty good game in general, the only details that I found weird in the game were:

1) Even in zones that I free from Flemoids, I still could heard them, despite there was nothing there, not even secret rooms, and this happened so often that I refered to that glitch as ghost sounds.

2) The hit box of some walls, specially in the caves, was weird, when I was close to a one of them, but I had perfect and clear vision of a flemoid to zap it and send it back, the shoot hit with the hit box of the wall I was next to making me use my limited ammo.

3) IT DOESN'T HAVE MOTION CONTROLS!, that's ridiculous for a console as the Switch that has motion controls.

Still, this is a pretty entertaining game for when you just want to relax a little and not to feel you're fleeing to save your life, maybe I'll continue with Quake to finish that game.
