Omar Banks was a superstar athlete who played for the Emerald City Lions and considered the greatest wide receiver of all time...that is, until a vengeful ex girlfriend revealed to the world (among other things) that he was in fact a speedster. Forced to quite pro sports and outed at a gay man, his fans remained loyal. And on top of that, his agent came up with a way to spin his career, because as the saying goes "If life gives you lemons, sell those things and get some better fruit". He became a superhero, and a rather popular one at that. His fanbase grew to heights never before seen and his endorsement deals actually increased. So when the Super Crimes Bureau started putting together a team of supers, Omar's high profile obviously made him a prime candidate.

*NOTES*

I wanted to make a speedster with a twist. So I came up with 2 ideas; option 1 was a short morbidly obese guy who doesn't need to exert any energy, so he doesn't. Option 2 was a giant of a man who looks more like a body builder...guess which one I went with (though I may use the other later). Anyways the suit design is an old one I made and really liked, I just made some tweaks and refitted it to a new template. This character also gave me a chance to do some world building with the introduction of the Emerald City Lions, the city's pro football team.
