Long time no see people and furs. Well first of all wishing you all a Happy New year.
And here is one that I did for my final assignment. Unnamed Dragon 1. Supposed to be fire element. This was the outcome.
Didn't do much for the bg as my lecturer wanted it to look simple and the character to stand out instead.
Well anyways critiques are welcome. :3

btw,regarding depth of field(assuming u r focusing on the eyes, some parts outside focus should be softer(example,the stripes).juz a slight tweak will do

The composition as a whole looks pretty good, but the feet in particular seem a little too stiff. Remember that something jumping is going to know that it's going to have to land again soon, so the feet are usually arched or splayed to prepare for that.

I wouldn't say you're bad at it; you do a lot better than a lot of furry/scaly artists I've run across in the past, and your sense of color is really starting to do some neat things. You make images with the majority of it technically correct; there are mostly just little details that sometimes escape when you try for ambitious poses and so on. It'll come in time, I'm sure, and I definitely have been able to watch you improve over time.
Have patience with yourself, but never stop working. (:
