A different shading style again, a mix between semi-blended and crosshatching. And a different way of drawing hair. Again. :'D

You can see this unfinished here . (-:

I really love the attention to detail in the face area, but personally I feel that the hair could have used a bit more highlighting. You did a fantastic job with this piece, though

Thank you very much! I agree, I'm not good at drawing hair so I really need to work on that. :-D Thank you!

GAH! Totally love the leather and the face!
Crosshatching looks good on it ^^
I kinda don't like the hair here, it's porcupine-ish and it just swallows up the face. There's also a lack of shine in it that makes it look cartoon-like.

Oh cool, did you cut it out in a circle?

Thank you very much!

The hair looks a lot shinier and not so pitch black in real life, I like to edit the contrast a little more dramatic. :'D But I agree, it could look much better. I still can't draw hair, I really need to learn.

No I didn't, I actually just coloured the rest of the paper with black markers. :-D

You're welcome!

Actually, all you do is use an eraser to erase out the shine in black hair. It's really easy.

You should've just cut it out XD

I do that if I draw lighter hair but it doesn't really work when I draw black hair because I make so dark lines that I can't really erase without making a huge mess. :'D And with hair like Bill's lion mane I don't like to make it too shiny. Because it isn't, when hair is teased and full of hairspray it doesn't really look shiny at all.

But I didn't want to cut it. :'D I like to keep my drawings in my sketchbook.

That's true

HAH that never works for me, all my drawings are smudged that way. I rip the paper out and put it in a shelf for all my drawings XD

I used to do that but then I just lost some of the drawings and my room was full of paper. :'D

Haha xD
And uh, kinda wouldn't want to paint in a sketchbook. Too much spillage.

Oh me neither, I would accidentally destroy the whole book if I tried. :'D I have different paper for painting.

My drawing paper is so cheap that it would be ruined if I tried to use it for paintings. :'D
