Thank you, words to live by as we (me) sometimes live in the past. Sometimes we have to let in new growth for a better future.

I thought I got a reply because I got a note, but it was from someone else. So you didn't respond. Dx

I think almost all trans people have this problem...I have always been consumed by my past, so much so that moving forward seemed redundant. I only got out of that as I moved forward; by moving forward, I stopped feeling stuck, I felt better about myself, and my present and future were worth living for again.
Make today and tomorrow worth living for, and regret will soon fade, though it never completely disappears.

I've had the same problem. That's why I tell this to everyone I know. If we all lived in the past, we wouldn't be giving ourselves the chance to have an amazing future.

Tragically ironic, isn't it? The thing that almost all of us have in common is something that drags us down and halts our progress. . .Morbid humor on god's part, provided he actually exists.

True, but I'm talking about the fundamental bridge that connects a lot of trans people to one another; regret. We all feel it, but in the same respect. We wish we could have realized all of this about ourselves so much sooner, or that we had done something differently, so much so that we're plagued with dreams and fantasies of transitioning perfectly, or being magically transformed.
We're empathetic toward one another, but this burden that unites us, makes us weaker.
The irony lies in the fact that; we are who we are, we are given a method of bonding through sufferance, but that sufferance crushes us.
