A self portrait paintedΒ from life from a mirror...don't look very happy!Β Was painted a few years ago after I lost my beloved to cancer and the sight in my left eye(which has come back to a large degree although there is a big black blob in my central vision which I no longer notice)Think this painting reflects a horrid period in my life!

I seems to be very difficult to paint a portrait just from a reflection in a mirror.You captured face and expression very well and the shadings on the clothing are also wonderfully done.
