Sick Room

These walls seem so padded
with ripped edges and stuffing
bundling out
smothering a little
more head trauma-
a grand consistency drain,
a slow motion rug burn,
a tarnishing agent going
to work like a good citizen
every day with a 6 o’clock commute
a 2 o’clock curtain call
fucking to make little tarnish children
running wild ‘cross anything
once bright and slowly
fading out.

I want to eat it all and
live in the ensuing
black hole.
