I didnt crop those out because I liked the unbalanced and contrasting effect they have on the photo

I really like the compasition. I like how the vains in the leaf lead your eye to the water droplet. however i don't think you need the blur on the two sides and that the negitive space inbetween the rocks would be intresting to see.

The way the droplet made the color of the leaf become more saturated is very good. The focus and blurring on certain spots is well achieved as well.

The dof is great... only that thing (stone?) in the left upper corner is drawing attention there from the drop.
