IKR! Though Russia has been doing some pretty bad things latley and our government is saying they're evil, I cannot bring myself to hate one's country no matter what they do. Mostly because I'm a Hetalian. xD But that is a good thing as well, I've gotten my friends into hetalia and now they're more optimistic and less pessimistic. And they're more open and kind to 'bad' people and situations.

Yes, it is a sad thing; it's why I don't watch the news and read only credible newspapers (when I do, that is), we will never get the full picture if we only listen to our side. You gotta put your feet into other people's shoes to understand stuff better. And I agree, Hetalia has changed me for the better as well. You learn to love countries and be more open, and it is a pity that none of my friends seem to want to join me (they think I am crazy but sshhh XD). Hetalia is actually a really good anime/webcomic, and should gain more recognition.

(XD) That's actualy very true, we only take it from our side to make it look like we're big and bad and they're just dunkomphs. And some of that may be very credible but the main idea of a article like that is to take it from the other perspective and prove it's wrong, which we don't do. That's partly why i'm so open in the first place; don't be so quick to judge.
And actualy none of my friends liked anime at first but now we're holding cosplay parties with each other; (xD) You just gotta stick with your side and if you have good friends maybe they'll follow along x3

Apparently one of my guy friends checked Hetalia out; he came to school today and looked at me like, "you cray, woman." He thinks anime is weird, since he accidentally stepped into its... dark areas as a first impression XD But hopefully I can convert my girl friend, since she's more accustomed to anime in the first place
