"Most people tend to only see anxiety as nothing more than “butterflies” in one’s stomach. The truth is, when anxiety affects someone on a daily basis for little to no reason at all, it is considered to be a disorder. With six different varieties, anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting over forty million people over the age of eighteen. It involves uncontrollable feelings of worry and impending doom, that can be both mentally and physically exhausting on a person. Through research and personal experience, my goal is to provoke similar feelings in viewers that one would feel during an anxious episode. By isolating everyday objects, I explore a range of causes, effects, emotions, and ticks that one may experience, in the hopes that I may broaden the understanding of anxiety disorders."
