I highly recomend photoshop elements 6, its an older one from 2007 I think but it has worked very well for me. I think its also much much simpler to use that the CS series

Oh no, I don't even think you can download a free trial anymore since its so old, but if you did a search on amazon I'm sure you could find it for cheap. The next best thing would either be Paint tool Sai or Gimp, and gimp is free!
