Melanie Lacemaker is a cute little girl who loves to be adventurous. But now she is a slave to Envy, she no longer allowed to see her friends or her family, she is forever bound to Envy by her soul. Envy taunts her and threatens to eat her everyday because she knows it scares her. She has been holding back on eating Melanie because she just wants her company. But since she is starving, she will occasionally lick Melanie's neck and mess with her emotions. If Envy cant eat her whole, then she will feed off her fear, which is easy considering that Melanie fears her non stop. But Melanie hates whenever Envy licks her because she keeps thinking its a warning that she is about to devour her. She has constant nightmares of Envy torchering her and slowly eating her alive, which is why she keeps waking up every night screaming and crying.
Envy feeds off that, and she finds it to be so good. She adds more onto that fear by actually puting Melanie's neck in her mouth until she has had enough. Melanie is so shaken and scared, that she will no longer eat or sleep. Envy does have feelings for her (not lesbian wise) and does want her to at least sleep at night or eat to stay alive. But Melanie refuses, she is scared that Envy will devour her in her sleep, and she believes thay the only reason why Envy will feed her is to make her more delicious for her dinner some day. But Envy tries to assure her that aint the reason.
