I think the tree is a good size, considering all the trees where I live are super skinny and shed bark during autumn xD I do agree though that the image does look a bit awkward and un-atmospheric (notaword) without shadows. I can imagine this being a beautiful little image with browns and oranges and shadows cast by the sunset, but it does not seem as uniform as all that. Because of this, I think the preview is a bit misleading. I did not expect a blaringly out-of-place patch of green grass, where there should be wheat-colored grass and fallen leaves. That may just be my take on autumn, but I hope that description is "stereotyped" enough to be justifiable.
As for the smile, it's a small space. You make do. I think it's cute anyway.

Hope I gave some perspective, even though most of my words are harsh. I still like the imagethough, it's super adorbs and gives me a sense of reading outside under a tree..
