Cortana is in Halo Reach. They go to Dr. Halsey's lab in that mountain and Halsey gives Cortana to Noble 6 for transport to the Autumn. But if you've read the books this doesnt make much sense, it also means that these Spartans received their armour before the Chief even got the standard issue. And why do they have to carry Cortana in such a big device when in the other games they carry her in a small chip.

yea i always hated that
the fact that noble six carries her, she even CHOSE HIM, and yet they dont get to speak to each other once
AND in the ending of halo 3 they dont let you know about noble team or about six, they dont have a picture, any righting on the rock grave thing, NOTHING, im gussing its because only captin keyes knew about noble team and six's sacrifice, and he dies in combat evolved, so yea, the truth died with him im gussing

It's Bungie protocol for new canon, Games override other media, and new overrides old.
The Cortana with Halsey was a fragment for analysing Forerunner tech. She needed such a big case for protection, as her info would save humanity.
The Spartan IIIs are the most closely guarded secret in the UNSC, as they were a desperate measure move: they were trained from 4-6 year olds orphaned by the Covenant, and sent on suicide missions to save humanity. Two groups of 300 were sent to wipe out Covenant fleet-building colonies. Both succeeded, but only 2, from the second group, survived. They saved humanity the same as Master Chief did... but only about 3 people know about it, and they aren't telling. Sad, huh?

I have a solution! The chief might have a neural link in his helmet, all cortana has to do is stimulte the nerves to create images and sensations, it'll take practice but, in theory, it could work!

I would probably swing more towards he's after Dr. Halsey, she is of course the creator of Cortana after all.. I dunno I guess I was more interested when you do finally recover Cortana from Gravemind... especially the stuff she kept saying in the background before you get to her... I was like "Oh great it's Capt. Keyes all over again!"

I'd actually go with Cortana. It's more tragic that way, since the two physically can't be together. Since the games incorporate a lot of tragedy in the story, I think that's something Bungie would do.

Yeah that was real ball buster with capt Keyes. But worse was johnson and Commander Keyes they were two of the best how could they kill them.

Well really i only care about halo because halo is the golden goose. If you kill halo you kill bungie thats why they're releasing a new trilogy because if thy stop they go under.
