Yeah the death of Hughes is still and will ALWAYS be the saddest moment in this kind of media. Every time I see it I go all to tears, and heck I just saw that episode of Brotherhood Dubbed and it made me do this. Because when you look at all anime and manga you are not going to get CLOSE to what Hughes had and it will be in our hearts forever.Related content

a friend told me he died before I got to it in the manga, this was my response: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I knew it was coming so it kinda ruined it for me

Omg I cry everytime I watch that episode hearing his daughter be like "where is daddy, mommy wher is daddy?" It makes me so sad because he was a great husband, a great friend, and a great father.

that was def one of the sadest moments. the other one? when his kid started crying and saying they can't barry him cuz he's got work to do

RIP Hughes, we will never forget you. This is also one of the few anime moments that made me either on the verge or past the verge of tears. But, nevertheless, he will live on in our memories.

His death, his funeral, the thing as a whole is the saddest thing ever in anime and manga. Haven't seen anything else that would make me cry every time I see it. Cried when it happened in the manga, Brotherhood, and even though I thought why Hughes was killed in the first anime was stupid it still made me cry. (And really they change what he found out to be a name used three times in records, sure it is suspicious but it doesn't mean that there isn't the possibility of someone having the same name)

The thing that surprise me the most is that when He died in the first anime (before I started to even read the manga) I almost stop watching it. My sister and I were quiet for hours, trying to disimulate our tears. She even came to me crying and ask me to hug her. Man, what a masterpiece
