Hello! I'm in holidays now, and today I felt like doing a reference for my OC, Madrid, because I've had him for a year

So, here it goes~

City he represents: Madrid. He also represents "Comunidad de Madrid", one of Spain's 17 autonomous communities.
Capital of: Spain

Human name: Javier Fernández Carriedo ("Javier" means "new house" in basque)

Birthday: Unknown. May 2 is the holiday of the Region of Madrid.

Languages: Spanish and, since he's the capital, a bit of Catalan, Galician and Basque, the other official languages spoken in Spain.

Appearance: He looks as a 19-year-old boy. His height is 1,75 m, more or less; he has an athletic appearance. He has long, brown hair with amber eyes. When not wearing a suit or a militar uniform, he usually wears sportive clothes. Also, he almost always wears a red headband. He has a pet... a bear. Its name is Madroño.

Personality: Childish. He likes to be the center of attention. He is always praising himself and all that relates to the city of Madrid. He's very cocky. Other people tend to see him as "facha" (winner side in the Spanish Civil War, nacionalist, with a conservative ideology), because he's always arguing and annoying Catalonia and Basque Country. He used to be homophobic, but now Madrid is one of the most important cities for the LGBT group; he hates being called "gay", though. He claims himself to be very "macho" and modern but he still likes zarzuelas. He hates not having sea.

About his history: The city of Madrid was founded in the IX century by Muslims. Christians took it in the year 1085;then it was integrated in the Kingdom of Castille. But it was not until 1212 when the Muslims moved from there. The Courts of Castille started to gather in Madrid often, and in 1561, Madrid was decided to be the Capital. Under the mandate of the House of Bourbon, the city grew, and a lot of bridges, hospitals, parks and monuments that remain today were built. In 1808 (May 2nd) the people of Madrid rebelled against the French troops (Javier has a scar because of that). In the XIX century and first decades of the XX century the city grew a lot. In 1931, the Second Republic was proclaimed, but a section of the Army, led by Francisco Franco, was against. A Civil War started in 1936, and it ended in 1939, with the victory of the side led by Franco; he established a dictatorship that ended in 1975, with his death.

Other random facts?: He admire Spain, a lot. He speaks in a rude manner. He always translates people's name into spanish (Arthur=Arturo, Paulablo). And... HE LOVES REAL MADRID TO DEATH
