Sorry if this message is late, but better late than never having said that...
The 1st edit of the year goes to this hypothetical situation if super buu had absorbed goku in Super Saiyan 3 before the Arrival of gohan or at any other convenient time to get rid of goku's annoyance.
It could also have happened from a strategic point, buu already had piccolo's intelligence at his disposal and while absorbing him would not increase his power much, the strongest incentive for his absorption to make sense would be the techniques that goku possesses which could be quite OP too if you ask me.
