I don't have photoshop, but from what I've seen you can use it instead of Paint to make sprites with ^-^

Awesome badge! It's a little plain, but considering it's a Normal-tyle badge it's understandable (I mean, look at Whitney's badge aka the PLAIN badge XD). I'm very glad that you comprehended what I was talking in the tutorial =^-^=

The dark outline is suppose to be there if you're going to add it to the case. Personally, I always thought it'd look weird without the dark outline since the silver part is way too light *on my computer*, so that's why I added it in here :/

I compared my badge with one of the other badges, and they were the same size. I used a 40x40 box, so why is that?

Well, when I made my badges with a 40x40 box, I found that they were a tad bit smaller than the official ones (just by two pixels). That's why I upped it to 42x42: so they'd be a bit more accurate for me at least. I don't know what it could be really :/

Yep, that's the way to do it! The top portion's (above the oval) outline could be smoothed out some, but after that you're good to go color it ^^

left -> no badge case
right -> for badge case.

Okay, for the pixely dots, it's just a way to make the sprite smoother looking. Where ever the silver border touches the colored parts of the badge (the red and slate gray on yours), you just take the darkest shade of the "Gray (Optional)" (on my Badge Colors Kit) and place the dots there. You'll also want to put those dots where the silver border touches the "Dark Gray Border" color on your badge case version... oh geez, I probably didn't make sense. I took the liberty of doing this for, so that you can visually see what I'm talking about [link]

I get it, it's for where the outline touches the silver / blue or where the silver / blue hits the lighter parts of the Red / Gray.

This looks really good. The only thing I can suggest is that to make the edges a little more rounded on the outer part of the circular part. But it's very good for an attempt
