EDIT: Changed the second badge, and fixed how the badges looked in the case.These are the badges for my region, Dephlos. Basically practice, since I haven't sprited anything in a month >.>
Names of badges:
-Floral Badge [Grass-type Gym]
-Hieroglyph Badge [Fire-type Gym]
-Whitecap Badge [Water-type Gym]
-Paw Print Badge [Ground-type Gym]
-Comet Badge [Psychic-type Gym]
-Haven Badge [Flying-type Gym]
-Winter Badge [Ice-type Gym]
-Tombstone Badge [Ghost-type Gym]
I love how the Whitecap and Winter Badges came out. Everything else is meh :/ (Comet and Tombstone looked better in my head -_-)

I agree, about the winter badge looking quite radiant compared to the other badges. I think the floral badgeis also quite well done. the others are interesting designs, but not as well made. I think the shading and colors are a big part of why I'm not as pleased with their appearance. Still, I do love them ^_^

Yeah, these badges were made around the time I was trying to figure out how to make badges, so there's some things off if you compared them to the official badges. But that's what I get for self-teaching myself things XD I'm actually trying to come up with a different design for 4 of them, mainly the Meteor and Tombstone badges, since those are my least favorite

One of my biggest problems in spriting is color picking. I allways have such dull and uninteresting colors :/ I myself had made some badges, but I copied the idea off another spriter when I made mine. The badges themselves were original but I didnt get the idea until someone else did it.

Yeah, I feel your pain. When I make the colors custom, I always get the colors too dull. That's why I just get the colors off of the official sprites... of course, there's only so many colors you can choose, since Game Freak loves to reuse the same colors over again... many times I have no choice but to make them custom. I've been looking around, and the more popular sprited badges have more vibrant colors than the official badges. So maybe I update these to look more vibrant XD

well vibrancy catches the eye,and most often makes people enjoy it better than a dull color.
I think if we want more vibrant colors, we should stick to being at the top of the color picker XD

That is true, I will agree with you there.
Even at that, I still have a hard time getting my sprites to look right. I end up picking too bright of colors *sighs*

yeah, thats why when I make a sprite of an existing pokemon, I use the colors that nintendo gave them. I know some one who is actually pretty good at picking colors...maybe I can get some tips from him...

I can't remember exactly. I think I ripped the case from a screenshot, then edited it so that it could fit my badges... I have no idea where I found the original case though D:

Well, I'm still in the process of deciding everything for my gyms, so these are not set in stone yet. Besides, they're as original as I'm ever going to make them *is not that creative*

How about trying to incorporate less common types for gyms? Like dark, poison, and dragon?

Well, I have a theme going on with this actually. Since each gym is located on an island, and each island is home to a legendary pokemon, each gym is the same type as that legendary (it'll be explained more once I get more stuff created and uploaded). I'm using dark, dragon, and normal for the Elite Four anyways, so I can't use those for the gym leaders :/
