Rex, Aaron, Haro, Dean, bob?
the shading is really good, I don’t expect good quality art half the time from newcomers, but this is actually really good, and cute. The only thing I suggest is to not shade with black too often, try using bright or opposite colors as shading. An example, using blue on green, or teal on green. I love your art so far and hope to see more form you in the future, welcome to deviant art!

I love the name Haro! I think that will be the one. Thank you so much, it means a lot to hear that! I haven’t thought about using color like that for shading. I am defiantly going to try that. What would you do colorwise for shading dark colors like dark grey and black or even the color white? Thank you so much!

For white I tend to shade a light pink, or purple depending on lighting and such. For dark colors I stick to a dark magenta or blue and compliment it with lighting, such as a vibrant orange or or a very bright teal.
Here’s a good example - fav.me/dc3dp9r

Thank you! I’ve been wanting to find a way to make my art not as dark but I only knew how to shade using black. This will be so nice. I can’t wait to start using this in my next drawing and see how it turns out. Thank you again! I appreciate your help. ^^
