Description Was watching the TCM (Turner Classic Movies) channel yesterday and it inspired me to draw this. I love drawing portraits and profiles.~

Oh so very classy! How do you get the background so evenly shaded? It always looks pretty consistent in your drawings.

Thank you very much! I make the background with a fine-point black outlining pen and then I use a bold-tipped outlining pen for the final layer. That's why it looks so smooth.~ Thank you for noticing.~

No problem! I always have trouble getting even strokes on my backgrounds, so I'm interested in how others do theirs.
