There is only enough time in life to do what is needed and do what you like.Do not bite the hands that fed you.
Do not exile the ones responsible for your rebirth to this life.
Life use to be something I dreaded.
Waking up was never worth the hassle.
Cutting.
Stemming from hatred and no appreciation.
Waiting for something different and better.
Life is something I live for, today.
Waking up everyday is not always fun but definitely worth it.
Seeing your child grow from infancy to kindergarten.
Living with those people.
My parents.
It was far too painful.
It was time to leave.
No person should be subject to such abuse and suffering.
It was time to cut the noose.
I had to cut them loose.
Though they gave me life.
It is my life and I will do what I choose.
Only you choose the path you will follow.
And in those footsteps your kindred children might follow.
Give acceptance.
Always listen even when you do not want to.
Do not get angry.
Emotional support with punishment is acceptable.
Screaming, cursing, throwing glass and metal and wood is not.
Children are hard but very fragile at the same time.
Know the boundaries.
Know the lines.
Rose-alyn is my daughter.
Brittany is my name.
I am my mothers daughter.
In the light of motherhood I do not see them as the same.
From such pain and distress.
Come children.
Either destroyed and battered.
Or some of the best.
Like you and I.
We are different.
Yes it is true.
Do you believe that children are capable of adulthood at 12?
Neither do I.
We are not so different.
Adolescence, enjoy it.
It will never come back.
It will never be the same.
But you will remember these days.
