I've seen some people do that...so...why not ??
I'll explain the characters here uvu

Steven Universe: They're both kind hearted, however they tend to help the others first rather than themselves and hide their worries. They also have issues remembering their parent and even getting some resentment (Steven with his mom and Xochitl with her father)
Flame Princess: Again, the daddy issues. They both are kind and even a bit innocent, but whenever they get angry they tend to be pretty intense and hate being seen as a fool and thinking they would be "evil" like their fathers.
Veronica Sawyer: Xochitl can be pretty mature like Veronica and upfront, however she can be pretty guillable too.
Rika Furude- Both of them have a calm personality, and even have some sorts of connection with a diety, but Xochitl in my case is in a similar AU that conects all of my stories together, she is not aware and does not gain any powers and only has this connection in an AU
Satoko Houjo- Their families had an awful reputation in their towns, being rejected for something their parents did, and both of them feel they should be and act stronger, and fear abandonment
Leonardo San Juan-They had a similar development, Both of them pretty shy and fearful at first but slowly gaining bravery, and are one of the most mature persons in their friend group.
Xóchitl (I don't know if she has a last name-) Besides that I used her name for inspiration, they also share a similar attitude, a calm and mature personality and sometimes even playful, admiring their own achievements from time to time.
Yukino Miyazawa- Both of them really take pride on their achievements like their good grades and are rancourus when mad, however Xochitl does not pretend to have a personality she doesn't have.
