Hahahaha! I recently tried painting with make-up. It came out okay, but i wasn't super impressed with it. I was hoping for a more shimmery effect than ended up happening, so I think I'm going to get a 50 set of Pearl Ex by Jacquard and screw around with that.

it's really interesting to use make up as paint or for add some shimmer *_* I'm curious to see how will you use the 50 set *_* some times i use my 120 palette, those two are the same thing?

No, Jaquard Pearl Ex paints are these special metallic pigments you can get made of mica. You can either add them to existing paint or add gum arabic to them to make them into paint. They're SUPER shiny and come in a ton of colors. here's the color chart , you can see stuff people have used them on in the color gallery. I ended up getting about 20 of them :3 they're super cool.

In your description, are you saying make-up is one of the mediums used? Like, you painted make-up on this picture?

i used mostly acrylics paint, but i used some blush (or phard) for add some shadings on her cheeks and sholders :3 it's a great medium for this kind of things, I used it on "Sono come tu mi vuoi" too!it adds a rosy glow and some shimmer to the painting :3

Well, I suppose if it's made to accomplish a rosy glow and shimmer for a face, it should do the same for a painting of a face, right?
Very creative! I applaud the idea!

Just because I need to make sure everyone with even a passing interest in make-up knows about it: Kevyn Aucoin's "Making Faces" books. I could run downstairs to check the title on the second one, but really: if you don't already have them, you probably need to. Check them out!
