Description Hi all,

Here is the completed Golden Retriever in Reeves Acrylics on A3 canvas "paper". You can see the WIP version in my gallery & the original drawing too.

The source photo comes from the WetCanvas Drawing & sketching group's weekly drawing challenge. I couldn't resist painting it cause I love Golden Retrievers & have never painted an animal. This is my 4th painting.

I painting for fun but from September i can take some lesson. see if it helps.

Good luck with the lessons. Since I joined an Art group I think I have improved. Life drawing is great fun & a challenge.

Thanks, I'm trying to get into painting this year. I still have to do lots more. I keep falling back into the comfort zone that is drawing (esp animals)

Become a watcher & see how I do it. You can see my drawing progress over a two year period if you look through my gallery. I think the key is to get a solid drawing foundation, then think about painting etc. I wish you well.

Beautiful golden tones you have here. The eyes are gorgeous. The nose is a notch dry, but heck, considering this is your first of an animal....wow.

Thanks, I had some dramas with the nose last night which almost ended in tears! I have many other animal drawings in my gallery if you like pets.
