Description
(Yeahyeah I know it ain't Christmas but I had to)
It was a cold night outside. Sadly, Scaredy bat couldn't go in his hammock outside due to the weather. He sat by a fireplace, warming up. The gang was talking away. "Did anyone set up the mistletoe?" Ruby asked. "A what? A toe, you said? AHHHHH!" Scaredy screamed. Ruby giggled. "No, Scaredy! Not a toe, like on your feet! A mistletoe! It's a Christmas decoration that is hung on a hook or something, and when and boy and a girl are under one, they must kiss!" She explained. "Oh..WAIT. Lip contact?" Scaredy asked another question. "Hehe, yes. But trust me, it's a very nice decoration." Ruby said. "Hmm...okay." Scaredy replied. Doom kitty put her presents she finished wrapping under the tree. "Doom, you got us presents?" Iris asked. Doom nodded. "Aww, how sweet." She smiled. Doom curled in a ball next to Scaredy.
Later, it everyone was sleeping in their bedrooms. It wasn't Christmas Eve yet, it was the night before Christmas Eve. Doom woke up to go get a sip of her milk then come back. "Doom?" A familiar voice said her name. Doom perked her head up, startled. She saw Scaredy bat come in. "I heard footsteps so I went to check who it was, and it was you." He said. Doom walked towards him. She licked her paw then put it back onto the ground. Doom noticed a mistletoe above the two. Her eyes widened with surprise. "What?" Scaredy asked. He looked up. "Oh..oh my." He widened his eyes too. "Well...um..I guess there's only one thing to do." Scaredy said. Doom looked at him. Their lips gently pressed together. Doom never thought Scaredy would kiss anybody. She always liked him but she never thought he'd like her back. Soon the kiss had ended. "Well that was satisfying. I'll tell everyone I don't need any presents." Scaredy said. Doom made a question mark with her tail (without the dot) and made a violin note. "I already got what I wanted for Christmas this year. You to kiss me." Scaredy said. Doom blushed. She purred quietly, walking beside him. "I know it must be a pain for you to be mute all this time. But I know you love me and I love you back." Scaredy said. Doom rubbed her face against his. "Why don't we wait till everyone gets up?" Scaredy asked. Doom nodded. Scaredy took her onto the couch. For a while, there was a silence. Doom blinked, trying to stay awake. She soon dozed off into a peaceful sleep. She was close to Scaredy. Scaredy didn't mind at all what Doom was doing. Scaredy held her close and he soon fell asleep too.
The next morning, Ruby was making breakfast. It was 10:05 AM in the morning. Scaredy opened his eyes. He still had Doom in his arms. He blushed slightly. He didn't want to startle the kitty, but he wanted to get up, which he couldn't because of the weight on him. "Doom?" He said. He waited a few minutes for Doom to wake up. She slowly opened her eyes. She got up and stretched like all cats do often after a long rest. She jumped off the couch. She heard crackling noises coming from the kitchen. Scaredy followed her. "Ruby?" He said. Ruby looked at him and Doom. "Hi guys. Boy, you two sure slept well. I woke up to find that Doom wasn't in my room, and there she was, in your arms, Scaredy! How sweet!" She smiled. Doom and Scaredy both blushed a cherry-red color. Ruby continued making breakfast. She was making pancakes. "Anyways, how come you guys slept out there?" Ruby asked. "I woke up from hearing footsteps so I went to see who it was. It was just Doom, though. We ended up both under a mistletoe and kissed. Then we didn't bother going back to our rooms so we slept on the couch." Scaredy explained. "Aww. That's sweet." Ruby giggled. "Well, all the others are sleeping. If you want, I can keep this relationship a secret. I don't mind." She added. "That would be nice, Ruby. But me and Doom will gradually tell the others when we are ready to, so you may keep it a secret." Scaredy said. "Okay." Ruby nodded her head, agreeing. The bat and the cat's love shall keep going on!
