It was the middle of the night and you find yourself walking towards the courtyard. As soon as you stepped outside, the cool breeze gently crawls on your skin. You blamed yourself for clothing lightly and for not bringing a jacket. You went towards your favorite spot under the tree and leaned against it and admired how beautiful the starry night was. A few moments later you felt a presence behind you, making your heart beat fast.

'Who could it be,' you thought.

Suddenly you spun around and you were greeted by a pair of steel blue eyes that was staring blankly at you. It was Lance Corporal Rivaille, your superior.

Your immediate reaction was to salute him.

"Corporal!"

His countenance remained stoic as he spoke, "It's already past curfew cadet, may I ask what your business is?"

The wind gently blew making you unconsciously shiver and before you could answer your superior noticed this and took of his jacket and threw it to you.
You almost missed it and sighed in relief when you didn’t. Who knows what will happen if you let if fall in to the ground, being a clean freak he was.

"..."

You remained silent as you stared dumbfounded at the jacket in your hands.

"Use it before I change my mind," he stated dryly, crossing his arms.

You nodded at him and wore his jacket. A blush immediately crawled on your cheeks as you felt his warmth emitting from his jacket.

He continued to stare at you as an awkward silence took over. Your superior went on the opposite side on the tree from where you are and leaned his shoulder against it then he crossed his legs, "So... your business?"

"Corporal......" you stated as your voice falters as you went back on your original position on the tree.

"What?" he curtly replied, as his tone remained indifferent.

"I'm just wondering... when will humanity be free from the titan's mercy?" you asked.

"Who knows?"

'Even corporal don't know...' you thought, heaving a sigh.

"Say, corporal... do you have a dream?" you asked.

You only heard a 'tch' from him.

"I.. have a dream. I always dreamt that we can finally live peacefully.. Then maybe I can have my own children and watch them grow," you said with a soft tone as you crouch down and picked up a flower. A gentle smile formed on your lips as you admire how small but beautiful the flower was.

Rivaille was thankful that you two were not in each other's sight or you would have seen him react on your dream. He felt his stomach twist when the words 'my children' escaped from his subordinated lips.

"Lucky bastard that guy is," he murmured quietly but not enough for you to hear. Little did he know that you heard him.

"So? Who is that guy?" he asked, trying to sound uninterested.

"Huh? Who?"

"If you want children, they should have a father, right? They wouldn't just pop out of nowhere, idiot." he answered, now pinching the bridge of his nose, trying to calm himself down.

"Oh..." you muttered.

"So? Who?" He pushes on.

You giggled silently, "He is someone you know very well."

He immediate thought was Irvin but shook it off instantly. He knew that you and Irvin barely interact with each other, unless you two were behind his back. Gunther? Erd?

He withdrew himself and stood straight as he dusted his shoulder, "I don't like guessing cadet."

You took a big breath, "Somehow... when I dream of something, you were always there. It was you corporal. Weird isn't?"

Rivaille scooted in front of you and stared down to you, "You mean that cadet?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

As you looked at him, you noticed how good looking you superior was. How the moonlight complemented his fair complexion and how his hair gently shifted with the wind. It made you blush instantly.

You averted you gaze from him to the flower in you hand, "Of course corporal. I would never lie to my superior."

He crouched down to your level and his hand took your chin, making you face him but you still avoided his eyes.

"Oi cadet look at me,” he said sternly.

You shyly placed your eyes on him and met his intoxicating gaze.

"What is it corporal?'" You sheepishly asked.

"Hn."

Then the next thing you knew, his lips was on yours. Time suddenly stopped and your hand unconsciously dropped the flower you were holding and found its way to his back. The two of you pulled away from the lack of air, both of your eyes half-lidded as you stared at each other.

Sudden realization came to you as your eyes widened and blushed furiously.
'You just kissed your superior for heaven's sake!' you mentally slapped yourself. You turned your back to him and held his jacket close as you wish the ground would just swallow you.

Rivaille smirked at your demure actions and suddenly hugged you from behind and nuzzled his head to crook of your head.

You gasped taken by surprise but his warmth calmed you down.

You felt his breath on your neck as he spoke making you jump, "Then cadet, I promise you, in the near future your dreams will come true."

Then he smirked, "With me, obviously."
