redo ofΒ ! tell me which version you like better? i'd love critiques on this as well!! i actually have a lot of art i haven't post yet >:3cc stay tuned...ALSO does anyone have any tips on giving speeches?? i really need the help lol <33 much appreciated

i like this one a lot better tbh! because semi realistic things are usually more grotesque when considering the proportions or anatomy of a cartoon/unrealistic creature!! the only thing id say to work on is the hair in this one !! it looks really good but some parts of it lack the attention to detail that the rest of the painting does and it takes away from the semi-realistic vibe quite a bit. usually hair doesnt stay together in distinct "tufts", like at the back of their head, although something looser with the same appearance would do just fine !!! sorry for my long paragraph, i hope some of this stuff is usefull ;; im not exactly one to talk! i love your work SM

this is gorgeous!! I'm a huge fan of your work, the way you paint things is so loose and free and I absolutely adore it. You've definitely improved a lot, too! your use of color has definitely upgraded since your last one, making this one pop even more!Β
beautiful work, you inspire me every say so keep it up!
also, for speeches-- it's good to have flashcards with notes on them to remember what your points are! nothing too lengthy, but keywords for when you find yourself stuck or you think you might get stuck.
practice reciting your speech in front of a mirror several times, you can see your own body posture and fix it accordingly. and don't forget to scan your audience as you recite it, too! it makes everyone feel engaged and included (and lowkey impresses the teacher ufufufufu)
just take a few deep breaths and you can do it~Β

both are really great but i like this one better! you've definitely improved a whole lot
the colors are more vibrant and appealing, the pose is much more natural and less awkward and more interesting too! your style has totally improved and this one overall looks more dynamic and interesting too me in technique and styleΒ

for speeches i do speech+debate so maybe i can help-
1. calm down. don't practice ur speech 2 mins before you give it. it'll just make you more nervous and stressed.
2. don't procrastinate. lol just don't,, never helped anyone
3. keep good posture. people will more likely listen to you then
4. have good enunciation. otherwise nobody wants to hear to someone mumbling
5. if this is written speech, don't look down too often. shows your not confident rip
6. talk LOUD. if the people at the back of the room can't hear you, you're not loud enough.
7. Talk LOUDER and SLOWER on big points. c:

To add to this solid speech advice: don't underestimate the value of a good pause. You can use them to gather your thoughts, and they'll make whatever you say next feel more impactful. I have a tendency to just vomit words when I do speeches, so i'm sure the audience are as grateful for pauses as I am
Also, brilliant job on the art, you've got a great painterly style! I think attempt 2 has a better grasp of shadows and shine (eyes and hair are lovely) and the anatomy even looks a bit better.

thank you!! honestly pausing in speechs is also something I'm terrible at bc I'm always worried about going over time :'0 and thank you!! honestly I was hoping to portray the shadows better in the new piece bc the hair in the last one was super rushed hahaa
