Very atmospheric - I wonder if the woman in the foreground is cold, or defensive...

don't take me wrong or not even get mad the drawing is really good, but what's with that city? and not only this one but many of the same kind, really what the hell......same buildings that look like giant steel rods of dark color, where is the design? where is the style? where is the soul? where is the green? where is the inspiration? why most of the people imagine that kind of ugly future? it's boring, i think there is where we're going....maybe i have in mind a more advance city.

hope you can put that talent into more interesting cities, just a suggestion

Heya,

I'm afraid I have so little time these days that I don't paint a huge amount but if I do start again I'll consider doing something to show a workflow

I don't use 3D programs at all really - I may start to use the default ZBrush human sculpture just for views of characters in the future but otherwise I'm not a fan, mostly because I dislike that 3D is so program-based.

As for the perspective I literally 'sketch' the images before painting it, and doing that I simply draw lines to the VP and make the buildings 'hit' the lines and stick to them. Doing that you make sure your buildings apply to the perspective correctly. The perspective isn't perfect though, there are certain buildings and objects within the image that I don't bother worrying about perspective because you can just put them down to arbitrary positioning that is true in real-life cityscapes.

hey very awesome .. i have a question though how do you make the buildings? do you just draw it or do you render in a 3D program.

Also, how do you get the perspectives all correct. whenever I try to create a piece like that in the very beginning the buildings look weird because of perspective and angle problems.

Just wondering if you could help
Thanks
Jason
