this one took months to finish... well, it's because i was working full time, watching alot of anime and reading a lot of new mangas.lol..besides, with all these characters in one drawing, i wouldn't have been sleeping for 3 straight days to finish that soon...@_@..hehe... but thanx to my bro in iraq, he was the reason y i drew this in the first place.... sorry if it's not very clear... this was just too big to fit in any scanner and to my digicam...^_^0
1 wk. original drawing in pencil; months to completely finish
F and HB steadler pencil, steadler eraser, blk steadler ink and fountain pens, cottons, water(for erasing), crayola color markers, table napkins, gold sharpie pen(background) and 17"x24" drawing pad and 17"x24" vellum paper; also, alot of anime music/rock cds to keep my mind busy while drawing... hahaha...
I collage different pictures from my anime poker cards collection.......(reference)

it took three tries on the drawing (with pencil) part, 2 on outlining it on the vellum paper with my fountain pens, then twice on adding colors... every time on the original 18x24 drawing pad papers and vellum...
so yeah, it might seem that way and thank you, but it took a few tries for me to make this. this is still the best or one of my best art to the day. I just wish i took a better quality photo of it.

you can get better. the important thing is that u have interest and you actually took the first step all artist do and that is to start drawing. Everyone started this way, i think and just keep at it and you will improve. I just found my old drawings of this anime and i can say, i laughed at my stuff too...
but i was still happy and amazed because i did it!!! so you should be too

im looking to do one of these for my girlfriends bday. what did you use the silver sharpie for? i think i see it in there but could be wrong. and what color did you use for the skin color. i've always had problems getting that right.

hello, first off all thanx for stopping by !!
i didn't use a scanner coz, ur right it wouldn't fit. It was hard to take a pic of this with the digicam, coz i just couldn't hold still for a second, thus, the bluriness of the pic.
tips? well, first and really important, u have gotta love to draw and be absolutely patient. remember, i collaged a lot of my Dbz from poker cards so u really have to pay a lot of attention to details.
and just practice, never ending practice, I did. it took me more or less 4 years to be able to draw something like this, man you should have seen my prior attemps on the dragon ball drawings and everything else, it was a really big improvement on my part.
I dunno about books, I know there's a lot. however, all I did was practice and watched this anime often. really, all u need is a picture to copy for starters, then u;ll be able to improvise in time...
Honestly, i didn't know how to respond to this,no one taught me to draw and i started older too. but i hope this helps. good luck!!

Saiyans Rock!Goku rapes most characters hes too damn good. I just drew a poster of a bunch of heroes united, and i put the saiyans in the front. Nothing beats saiyans! lol check out my gallery ull see the pic im talking about.
