THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN AND TIME CONSUMING! DDD LOL

But really! I really enjoyed drawing this! I gathered up all the Spyro knowledge I had. I also did some research to fill in the blanks. I've been working on this for 6 hours straight!!

The Dragon Realms
The Dragon Realms is the main universe of The Legend of Spyro series. The majority of the land is explored throughout the trilogy, and a few areas are only mentioned.

The Swamp
The Swamp is a large wetland that encircles the Dragon Temple, appearing in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and serving as Spyro's birthplace. The Silver River is the reason why this large swamp exists.

Dante's Freezer
Dante's Freezer is a large snowy island located some kilometers away from the Dragon Temple, only appearing in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. It is a large continent covered in ice and snow and is surrounded by an enormous fortress. It is unknown if this fortress was built by the Dragons or by the Apes, but it seems that it has fallen into the hands of the Apes. This is where Cynder imprisoned Volteer to drain his electric powers, and also the island ruled by the Ice King.

Munition's Forge
Munitions Forge is a hot lava pit infested island far away from the Dragon Temple, appearing in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Hot ash and sparks fall from the sky due to the active volcano, Boyzitbig. It is also a massive mine due to the large amount of volcanic metal. The inhabitants of this island are the Manweersmalls, bipedal moles who spend their lives underground, mining for metal. It is also home to Magma Worms, Buffalo Beetles, and Fire Beetles. This is also where Spyro learns his Earth breath.

Tall Plains
Tall Plains is a large rainforest located far away from the Dragon Temple in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. It is a lush, green jungle situated on a massive cliff. Their inhabitants are the Atlawas, bipedal, humanoid llama beings. They live in a tribe, worship gods and tend to their large crops. Their chief is Kane, and they are considered to be primitive and barbaric, according to Cyril.

Concurrent Skies
Concurrent Skies is a large floating crystal land far from the Dragon Temple, but once Malefor's forces attacked this place, it was renamed Cynder's Lair. It is the penultimate level in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. This is the Electric elemental land, it has two bosses, the Electric King and finally Cynder. This area was also home to Cynder, when she was under the control of Malefor.

The Ancient Grove
The Ancient Grove is a dark, foreboding grove that lies somewhere on the edge of the Silver River, and only appears in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. It was the home of Arborick, as well as other creatures nurtured by the poisonous waters.

The White Isle
The sea surrounding the isle glows an aqua color, and it is covered in white sand, ice, rocks and floating platforms. It is a testing ground for all the dragons who find it. It is also crawling with bones of dead creatures, and small stone soldiers. A massive temple is also built, surrounded by the Celestial Caves, and it is a home for the Chronicler, who sits and records the past, present and bits of the future of every dragon.

The Shattered Vale
The Shattered Vale is apparently a dwelling for other creatures. Terrador was sent there by Ignitus to warn the inhabitants of the coming of the Night of Eternal Darkness. It is only mentioned once in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.

The Well of Souls
The Mountain of Malefor, also known as the Well of Souls, was the location that was The Dark Master's first fortress as well as his prison. It made its first appearance in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and later reappeared in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon.

The Catacombs
The Catacombs is the first area Spyro starts in on The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. There is a possibility that this place was once the Well of Souls that have collapsed at the end of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night or that it is underneath the mountain.

The Valley of Avalar
The Valley of Avalar is an area and level that appeared in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. It is a valley home to the Cheetahs, including Hunter, leopards, and possibly other creatures. There is a village where most of the residents live and a few caves, beyond which lives a hermit. However, there are other sections of the valley that are unaccessible in the game, which means that there are more areas in Avalar than just the valley.

Twilight Falls
Twilight Falls is a level in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon that lies between the Catacombs and the Enchanted Forest, an area where Spyro and Cynder go to to rest after their escape. It was given the name "Twilight Falls" due to the large waterfall glistening under the rays of the Celestial Moons.

The Dragon City/Warfang
Warfang, also known as the Dragon City, is a city that had been built by the Moles in honor of their friendship with the dragons. It made its debut in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. The Dragon City is also where Spyro and Cynder took their part in battling and defending the city against Malefor's overwhelming army and stopping the Golem. It sports many landmarks including many dragon statues and an extremely powerful cannon in the shape of a dragon head. It is mostly populated by the Moles, and the city was almost destroyed by the Golem and Malefor's armies.

The Dam
The Dam is a barrier that contains the water to prevent floods from rushing into the valley that appeared in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. A dragon-shaped head is built on the Dam as well as a pair of wing-like structures and paws.

Burned Lands
The Burned Lands is a large, desolate landscape. It is where Spyro and Cynder lost Ignitus to the dark power of the Belt of Fire when they tried to cross it. The Burned Lands is also an ambush area for enemies Spyro and Cynder have faced before, as they attempt to stop the two dragons from reaching Malefor.

Hmm interesting, but r u sure that is accurate?
Cause I believe that the burned lands where the dragon temple use to be, but I'm not sure.
This is a really good reference...in fact it gives the impression that the series can be made into a RPG. Wouldn't that be interesting? It would be like Istaria's dragon spawn zone.
(and yes, there is a MMO that allows u to be a dragon, AND FLY!)

I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING!!!

I was all "OMG! This could be the most epic RPG game!" I would like a dragon game where the graphics arent that complicated, you have the powers of Spyro, you get to collect gems... All that stuff. I would like a dragon game that allows you to be a dragon in the world of Spyro. I am aware of Istaria... But you have to pay to play as a dragon

They never mention the dragon temple was destroyed, and the majority of the fans on the Spyro roleplay forum believe the temple still stands.

The closest we can get to an RPG is the two year old The Legend of Spyro roleplay forum that I run. That much, we can enjoy.

The burnt lands could be where the swamp was, but they could also be on an island, as you've depicted it here; I seem to recall small things in the first two games suggesting this - for one, the view from the Temple balcony shows a coastline, and one of the Guardians goes to alert "the mainland".

Have you thought about working in the locations of the Original series? I wrote an "essay" a while back - [link] - where, upon other things, I suggested that the Original series took place many centuries after the events of the Legend Of Spyro series, and that their Dragon Realms were a completely different location; the "Forgotten Realms" were where the Temple and Warfang were located.

well this is mainly a map for the roleplay forum, and according to the forum the temple and burned lands are two different places... I'm just going with what my knowledge supplied and what the research held.

Sorry I have to agree with AMC with this. You see Malefor raised the Temple after Spyro and Cynder were frozen for three years. The final battle was in the Dragon Temple, even Hunter says it's the Dragon Temple at one point in the game as well.

However that being said I like the fact you have put a lot of effort into researching this matter, it's not easy by the sounds of it.

No. No it wasn't. But like I said. This is a map for the site, so it doesn't really matter who is right here. The map ain't gonna change.

I like how you mention that there are more areas to Avalar, because despite what the game shows, Avalar is so much larger than the depiction(spelling?).

indeed it is larger than the depiction. the mountains in the background of the level even show
