Yeah, it's rather sad. Zoo animals are like fish in a tank -- they're home is only a few hundred square feet big, and that's all to the world they know. Rather depressing.

This shot really draws a lot of emotion and thought. You think zoo's are doing a good thing by "taking care" of these endangered animals, but look at this misery! This rhino needs to be free, just like every other animal.

Great job of capturing the emotion. Zoos have a responsibility to give their animals a large living space (ESPECIALLY big old rhinos) and provide toys, food, etc, to keep them interested.

Great shot, I love the composition, the only thing is it's a bit blurry. I would take it to photoshop to see if you could sharpen it just a bit, it would add to the overall feeling of it. Either that, or you could make it a soft-focus photograph. That would add to the somber mood as well. Great shot, regardless.

thanx, yeah i agree its a tad blury around the head area, i was useing a lower spec camera at the time (altho a good workman never blames his tools right) hehe
