I love drawing wood! It's so pleasant because almost everything you decide to do will usually end up looking nice, no matter what kind of squiggly and weird lines you draw.


After scrapping my previous project, I felt like I was still in mood for some dergs after the commission. I settled on a bit more cliched and classical fantasy drawing type which is very moody and orange/brown. But sometimes it's nice to be conventional and do something that isn't so experimental!

I was thinking of a mysterious treasure but why not an egg too . I don't know what wooden dragons' eggs look like :^)

The sceptre would be quite massive, so maybe it'd be fitting for a god of some kind.

Love the moody lighting on this one. You drew that piece of amber pretty much perfectly, with all the layering going on inside of it. 

I'm a big fan of all your dragons, you've got a pretty good feel for how to make each and every one look amazing.

Thanks a lot! I'm feeling a bit dergy, maybe I'll draw even more dragons in the future! Also, I think that the amber thing worked out really well too! I guess just throwing in colours and blending layers and hoping for the best works :^3
